  26.       Forthmacs by Bradley Forthware is also available for the
  27.       Macintosh.  This is the same Forth that is the basis of Sun's
  28.       Open Boot firmware.  Macintosh Forthmacs costs $50 for working
  29.       disk+manual, and $50 extra for source code.

  31.       Forthmacs is available for the following machines: Atari ST,
  32.       Macintosh (I and II), OS-9, Sun (680x0 and SPARC), NeXT.

  41.       Mach2 is now defunct.  Palo Alto Shipping are no longer
  42.       supporting it.  I think the only commercial Forth for the Mac is
  43.       MacForth, from Creative Solutions.

  45.       Yerk and Mops are probably worth a mention, since although PD,
  46.       they are derived from a former commercial product (Neon), and so
  47.       are large, and capable of full-scale development.  They are
  48.       being kept fully up to date with the latest Macs and systems.
  49.       Mops has an ANSI prologue, intended to give ANSI compliance.

  51.       Both are available for ftp from oddjob.uchicago.edu.

  53.       Pocket Forth is also worth a mention, as a very good quality
  54.       small-scale PD Forth.

  56.       It may also be worth checking if Mitch Bradley's Forthmacs is
  57.       still being supported for the Mac -- I haven't seen it myself,
  58.       or heard of anyone else using it.  Maybe I just haven't been
  59.       listening in the right places.  But as Apple's system keeps
  60.       developing, if something isn't actively kept up to date, it can
  61.       lose its usefulness very quickly.
